BIO4EEB will be represented at EU Green Week 2026 by Fernando Sigchos Jiménez, Secretary General of the European Builders Confederation (EBC), during the RECAP cluster workshop “From End-of-Life to Lease-of-Life: Circularity in Action”.
The event will take place on 3 June 2026 at NTNU Brussels and online, bringing together several Horizon Europe projects to discuss circularity, material recovery and sustainable innovation.
Fernando has been advocating for construction SMEs and craft trades at EBC since 2013 and became Secretary General in 2022. Through his work across European platforms, he helps ensure that smaller construction companies are represented in discussions on construction, sustainability and industrial policy.
During the workshop, he will present:
“Demonstrating Circular and Bio-Based Insulation Materials for Enhancing the Energy Performance of Buildings”
His presentation will highlight how circular and bio-based insulation materials can support more energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.
